I am so excited to introduce these Earth friendly books and supplies to our students.
While we love to celebrate Earth Day on the 22nd of April, we like to encourage eco-friendly ways we can help our classroom environment, our home environment, and our Earth all year long!
These supplies include but are not limited to: kid-friendly Earth Day books, peat pot plant starters, soil and sunflower seeds. The sponges we are requesting are for reusable glue sponges. Our classroom has stepped away from the traditional glue sticks and I don't know if we will ever go back. Using a reusable container, a sponge, and school glue, we have found that we can go all year long without using one glue stick. I'm also eager to share the glitter which boasts of being biodegradable.
Many of the other supplies listed will be utilized for future classrooms to not only provide concrete hands-on manipulatives, but they are sturdy and reusable as well as provide a way for students to be accountable for their own supplies (math counters, cups for maintaining pencils, colored pencils, and crayons).
