This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the privilege of working as a school counselor. My students just came back from a long hiatus due to Covid. Most of them are excited to spend time with their friends. Quite a few of them are nervous and anxious about being back to a school environment especially the 6th graders that are just starting middle school. My students care about their school environment, community, and each other.

Socio-emotional leaning is at the forefront of this school year.

My students can all benefit from a lot of emotional and financial support. As a counselor working in a Title I school, the need for additional resources to benefit the emotional well-being of the community is a priority.

My Project

Help me give my students the ability to print, copy, and have the tools needed for their educational success. A printer is a luxury item every classroom needs. I am constantly needing copies for my classes. As a counselor servicing a little more than 500 students, I would like to provide my students with a printer so that they can print assignments, projects, and notes needed for class.

Help me transform my office into an interactive experience for my students.

Most of my students do not have a printer available to them at home. They will benefit from having a place to print out the tools required to pass their class.

This printer is eco-friendly. It uses refillable ink tanks instead of the usual cartridges making it a great addition to any classroom.
