Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are nothing short of amazing! They are the reason why I stay at my school and get up every morning to give them my all. We are located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in a zone where many families are facing economic hardships.
We are passionate about helping our earth.
My kiddos and I have discussed the devastating effects of waste on our environment. We hope to begin making small but meaningful changes to our classroom and school community.

We love our planet and my kiddos have been learning about the simple everyday changes they can make to help our planet.
Our goal is to create less waste in our classroom.
A laminating machine can be used to make millions of reusable materials to prevent paper waste. A crayon sharpener will help us keep less crayons out of the trash and more of them where they belong-in our tiny fingers. A charging station will ensure our devices are ready to practice basic skills while not creating any paper waste. This charging station will also shut off once devices are charged to prevent wasted electricity.
My overall goal is to help empower my students to be Eco-friendly for generations to come and to keep this momentum going.
