This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Imagine participating in a professional development series by reading authentic stories from immigrants who triumph over significant barriers to realize hopes and dreams. In addition, the lessons learned from these writers will assist school-based and central office support personnel with examining equitable practices against the backdrop of these amazing stories. The many lessons gleaned from these readings will cause educators to reflect on their practices with the hope of producing better outcomes for immigrant students and their families. This will allow us to bring much joy to families.
