My students need 10 Kindles in order to have access to ebooks.
Have you ever had access to so many different books you didn't know where to start?
I work in 100% Title I school in inner city Portland.
There are 540 students in our building ranging from 5-14. Our students love to read and have inquisitive minds. We have been working hard to make them life long learners and lovers of books. Over the past 4 years we have transitioned to become a STEAM school.
With these Kindles our students will be able to have access to numerous books at the touch of their fingers. We are working really hard to get OBOB up and running in our building, and this will give these students access to these popular titles along with so many others.
These Kindles will allow our students access to more books as well as the latest technology.
We want our students to know how to use technology in all learning situations. Our students will no longer have a limited amount of books that they can check out. On this Kindle they will have multiple different books to choose from.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
