Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Food is extremely important for learning, brain development, cognitive functions, and providing energy. I have noticed my students do not have the funds to bring snacks or purchase snacks, resulting in them focusing less in class due to hunger. I want to provide brain fuel and supplement the limited food budget for their families.

Healthy students are better learners.

All of our students deserve a fair chance to learn. My goal for this project is to have healthy snacks for students, with sweet treats as rewards. I also want to give students access to a microwave to ensure that their food is always warm if needed. I strongly believe that providing these materials will help them perform better in class!
