My Students

My students are dedicated workers who really learn through doing. In our science classroom we do a lot of labs and hands-on activities to learn new scientific concepts.

My biology classes love going outside and interacting with the world.

My chemistry students love designing and carrying out real world experiments. I try to bring new concepts to them daily and expose them to real world sciences to show them how they can truly make a difference in their world.

My Project

I will be teaching my biology classes how to grow plants. We will have a vegetable garden and a flower garden. To do this we need the border and markers to mark the location of each plant. We also need soil and seed starter pots so we can start our seedlings inside and track their growth. We will test our plants with different amounts of sunlight, amounts of water, types of fertilizer while they grow inside.

Once they understand the needs of our plants, we will plant them outside.

Then we will track growth, flower and fruit production, and even take some of our food that we grew into the cooking lab to try for ourselves!
