My Project

I have a fabulous 5th grade library, an amazing 4th grade library, and a very high level library for 3rd grade. After weeding out books that don't suit even the highest level students, thanks to friends, I have many beginning level chapter books. Many I have re-purposed from my own children's library. What I am lack is easy reader books.

More that years past, third graders are coming in with phonics deficits.

We are working hard to instruct them on phonics patterns and rules, but they need time to practice. I need more books that have decodable stories that my lowest readers can use to apply the new skills they are learning.
