My Students
My students come from poverty level housing. The children in my classroom are Head Start, 3, 4, and 5-year-olds so we try to make the day exciting and fun, but educational. Our day is filled with whole group time and small group/center time.
The students especially love small group time when they can go to housekeeping, blocks, computers, teacher time and table time.
This is where their young brains grow the most when they are engaged in educational play in my classroom.
My Project
My class is made up of 3 and 4 year olds. The materials that I chose for this project are mostly for my 3 year olds that need hands on, fun center activities. The materials also are all made of plastic and wood, things that can easily be cleaned during this pandemic. My 3 year olds need activities that they can take apart and put back together And think about as they are “playing”. Also during the pandemic my students can not play together so I need more individual activities that can be spread out through my room.
