My Students

As students who live in the center of the city, the kids in our class will be coming with a wide array of experiences and backgrounds. Each student brings with them their own family culture creating a diverse environment where learning extends past the academics. In our classroom, the two teachers who work with these students will encourage a challenging and engaging experience for students every single day.

As two first year teachers, we are very excited to create a classroom where students feel safe, welcomed, and challenged.

My Project

Our classroom is co-taught this year, meaning that we have the unique and wonderful opportunity to work with smaller groups of students more often than we otherwise could. Because we will utilize small group learning frequently, we need a dry erase easel so that we may parallel teach or pull small groups.

With a dry erase easel that can move around the room, we may effectively teach a small group of children while the other teacher is utilizing the main classroom board.

Additionally, because our students learn at tables rather than individual desks, they need a space of their own to store their materials. By providing seat sacks for our students, they will be able to quickly access materials and learn to keep track of their own supplies and books.
