Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in a school full of students who are having new opportunities every day. Our school is a Title I school, which means that our school has high numbers/high percentages of children from low-income families. But that does not stop them from trying and exploring new ideas.

One of my favorite things about our students is their excitement to try something new.

Our students learn from hands-on activities and being able to try and fail. Our students don't give up and love the chance to have new opportunities.

My Project

These materials will help students prepare for EAST Conference and many activities after that. With the button maker, students will be able to design and create buttons for conference. Students will be able to represent their school and show school pride. We will also now be able to add buttons to our EAST Printing Business. Students will be in charge of determining the cost of buttons and learning what the price is to make a profit.

These materials will be used this year and for many years to come.

Not only in EAST but school wide. Students will be able to let their creativity shine!

The lights will help students when decorating their booth. Last year students expressed the desire to add lights to the booth. With this project students will be able to see their full vision come to life!
