This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an energetic group of students who get to school every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are eager to learn and try their best.
I am hoping to provide my students with what they need most! I want to make sure my students have equal access to everything they need to be successful!
My Project
The easel I chose will make a difference in my students' learning because we will be able to share our writing, make anchor charts together, and engage in whole group lessons all centered around the easel. This year, I will also be working with other teachers and I see how this easel can benefit when I visit classrooms to demo different lessons.
Since learning takes place in 6 different classrooms this year, having an easily moving this easel is key.
It is magnetic, holds anchor charts, has an area for learning supplies and I can easily roll it around to classrooms with me.
Not only will it benefit the teachers I'll be working with but also the students. This easel is perfect for students to come up to it to share their writing and ideas with the rest of the class.
Having an easel will keep the students engaged in learning by keeping them in close proximity. I will use the easel during whole group and small group instruction, especially since this year we are implementing Reading and Writing Workshop. Sharing, working and learning from each other will be so much easier with an easel for both students and teachers.
