Easily Accessible Technology for Special Needs Learners
Help me give my students iPads in the classroom to help my special needs students enhance their skills in the areas of reading, math, and technology skills.
My name is Ms. Parks, and I teach students with special needs in the self-contained setting. Each child in my class has individual needs, and I am constantly looking for different ways to provide specialized instruction for their individual needs.
Students in my classroom struggle with social emotional needs, which impacts their ability to access the general education curriculum.
I create individualized instruction for each of my students so that they can still access academics, but also meet their social emotional needs.
My Project
My name is Ms. Parks, and I teach students with with special needs in the self- contained setting. Each child has individual needs, and I an constantly looking for different ways to provide specialized instruction for their individual needs.
I have the pleasure of teaching a diverse group of amazing students who learn in various ways.
My classroom is full of different learners and each one has specific learning needs. My goal each day is to meet the academic & social emotional needs of my students.
This project will make a difference for students in my classroom because it will allow me to create meaningful learning opportunities for my students who struggle academically and social emotionally.
Having iPads in the classroom will help give me the opportunity to create meaningful station based learning opportunities so that students can stay engaged in learning during one on one, small group, and individual work.
iPads in my classroom would provide access to many different education applications, programs, and opportunities for students to research. Also, iPads prove to be highly accessible for all students.
