Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a group of students that seek a lot of love, attention, support, and patience, and I love being able to provide that for them. 10 of our students have special needs, and I love that they have the opportunity to be part of the general education curriculum. I love that all our students regardless of their different needs are able to learn through play and fun activities. It makes me happy when I see students manipulate material as they learn, for example using new vocabulary when they are constructing something, or building social skills through role-play.
My Project
Kids with special need benifit from lots of visuals, specially if they are visuals with color. At my site I have easy acces to black and white prints, but it is harder to get color prints. By having a printer in my class our team will be able ro print picture and much more for a better learning experience. I am also in need of a file organizer. It will help out class team keep all documentation, students work, and anecdotal notes organizes for when needed. The different dry-erase makers are perfect to draw or write lessons on our white board.
