This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a K-2 high-poverty school. Many of my students face diverse challenges both in and outside of the classroom. These students need a variety of strategies to meet all of their diverse needs and the challenges they face.
I would like an easel to assist me with whole group reading lessons and math lessons.
This would allow me to differentiate for the many diverse needs of my students and help them increase their reading skills and math skills as I explain new concepts to them.
My Project
The easel we currently use needs to be replaced. The whiteboard section is no longer useful as it cannot be written on anymore. The clip to hold anchor charts is broken and will no longer hold up chart paper.
This new easel will help me as a teach whole group lessons to make the concepts I am teaching more visual and engaging.
This easel also has a place to store anchor charts so they can easily be organized and pulled out when needed to continue or review previous lessons. Help my class as I try to create more lessons to help them understand the concepts they are learning.
