My students need an easel and whiteboard to facilitate a central location for whole group learning to occur.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The future teachers of America are among us! My students love leading the class and they need an easel to read and write on.
My students are the sweetest and most loving first graders I have ever met.
My 20 six and seven year olds love telling stories, giving hugs and learning. They attend a Title 1 school in Texas where over 75% of the students are on free and reduced lunch.
My Project
By helping us have a new easel in our classroom my students will be able to work together and teach each other new and exciting concepts. Additionally, my students will be able to practice their spelling with magnetic letters and work on their handwriting skills with the lined white board.
This project is important because in elementary school it is important that students be able to access materials on their level so that they feel ownership over their classroom.
They need help to be organized and this easel has organization built right in. My students love being the teacher! Teaching a skill to another person is the highest level of understanding so if my students can articulate and explain the concept while using the easel, I can be certain that they have mastered it!
