Earthworm Dissection

My students need 3 packages of earthworms.

This project is fully funded

I teach science to seventh grade students in a South Carolina public school. In my classes, student learning levels range from special needs to advanced. These students are very diverse in their backgrounds, but the vast majority live in poverty.

With the recent budget we have experienced and news of more cuts to come, our supplies are extremely limited. Science kit supplies were among the first cuts that were made. My students deserve the very best science education possible, but supply money is nonexistent.

We have the tools for dissection. We just need the specimens. With three sets of earthworms every student in seventh grade at my school will experience the wonder of a first hand experience in dissecting.

My students were so very disappointed when I had to inform them that they may not be able to dissect this year. They are hoping someone will see what a valuable learning experience this would be for them. Won't you help make their dream a reality?
