This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth graders are going to be exploring how Earth’s spheres - atmosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere - are all interconnected and work together to sustain life on Earth.

The supplies for their dioramas will provide them the materials they need to visually represent how spheres interact with one another.

Students will use supplies such as whiteboards and markers to map out their dioramas, pipe cleaners and air dry clay for every sphere, beads and cotton balls for hydrosphere and atmosphere, plastic animals and plants for geosphere and biosphere. Through the interactive models they create, they will be able to better grasp how changes in one sphere can lead to changes in others.
