This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Earth Day is coming soon! Our class will be studying different ways to help the Earth....... but oh no! We don't have the supplies we need to make our project possible! We need art supplies! We are at a dead end and can't move forward with our plans without your help!

I have the most amazing students.

I know that teachers say that but I really do. My students are smart, funny, intelligent and so inventive. I am constantly surprised and shocked at how awesome they are. Our class is a 4th Grade Gifted Class. I can see my students growing up and changing the world.

My Project

My students need art supplies for Earth Day! We need paint, flour, paint brushes, aprons, LED candles and balloons. Help us create our light up Earth Day Projects! Our Earth Day Project will have our students creating paper mache globes that light up. The students will be using recycled materials and pure creativity. I want to be able to place them around the room and turn off the lights for the day and work by candle light. I think it will be a great way to study the geography of our Earth in a creative and inventive way. The best part is that they get to take them home to their families and share what they have learned and help make an impact of their own!

This project will help my students in many ways beyond just Earth Day.

We will be able to use the materials again and again with other projects. It will help my student stay creative. I believe that creativity is something that should be nurtured and cultivated and not stomped out.....
