My First Graders are learning about plants in their literacy unit. Unfortunately, most of our First Graders and many other students have had little to no experience working in a garden and/or growing plants. This project will help them understand that...

Earth Day is every day!

This project will help our First Graders and other students understand the impact that they have on our Earth by planting herbs in our garden that our school community and families may harvest. I am requesting herbs that I know our students and families will be able to use in their cooking. This project will help our students understand how to take care of the garden by using gloves to pull weeds and dig holes for our new plants. The gloves will help keep their hands from getting too dirty. This project will teach our students how to help take care of our garden by working hard to keep it well maintained and watered. Thank you for the learning opportunity.
