Earth Day is Every Day in the Art Room

Help me give my students wood glue, a cordless glue gun, hot glue for wood, and hand drills for making holes in wood to assist students into recycling scraps of wood into creative art sculptures and usable projects.

My Project

Earth Day is a great time to educate kids on things like climate change, protecting our living space, and reducing, reusing and recycling. My elementary students love working with their hands and inventing ways to recycle materials to reduce waste and make art.

This project aims to help my students upcycle donated wooden scraps so that they can create art while connecting to Earth Day and other artists who build compassion for our planet and educate us about climate change.

I recently had a large donation of scraps of wood, but need a way for my students to join the pieces together to make art. With your help, my students can glue and drill wood pieces so they create art that recognizes the importance of sustainability and compassion for the planet. After all, “earth without art is eh”.
