Earth Day Hands-On Science Projects!

Help me give my students hands-on Earth Day science projects including making a windmill, creating a biome, a glass jar terrarium, and a clean water filter!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Williamson's classroom raised $356

My Project

For Earth Day, students can engage in several hands-on science projects that explore environmental sustainability and ecosystems. One project involves building a windmill. This project teaches students about renewable energy and the function of wind as a clean power source.

Another activity is constructing a clean water filter which helps students understand water filtration techniques and the importance of clean water access around the world.

In addition to these, students can explore biomes by creating a small-scale ecosystem in a shoebox where they can observe and learn about different habitats and the balance necessary for a thriving ecosystem.

Finally, students can create a glass jar terrarium. This terrarium helps illustrate the water cycle and how plants interact with their surroundings in a controlled space. These hands-on projects provide valuable insights into sustainability, the natural world, and environmental stewardship.
