My Project
In a vibrant rural school, a group of energetic STEM students will be taking hands-on learning to new heights by creating seeded paper for Earth Day. With a passion for science and sustainability, these young innovators are blending art, engineering, and environmental awareness to craft biodegradable paper embedded with wildflower seeds.
As they explore the chemistry of paper-making and the life cycle of plants, students will also delve into climate science—learning about carbon footprints, deforestation, and the importance of pollinators in maintaining ecosystems.
Their project is more than just an experiment; it’s a way to inspire their community to take small but meaningful actions toward a greener future.
Fueled by curiosity, students will use recycled materials and natural dyes, ensuring their seeded paper is both eco-friendly and visually appealing. Alongside the hands-on STEM work, they research climate change’s impact on local biodiversity and discuss ways to promote sustainability in their community. By distributing their handmade seeded paper to classmates, families, and local businesses, they will spread the message of environmental responsibility—turning science into action. Their Earth Day project showcases not only their technical skills but also their enthusiasm for making a real difference in the world around them.
