This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The program that my students are enrolled in is called Preschool for All Learners. It's an Early Childhood Special Education Program for students three to five years of age. This class services students with mild to moderate disabilities (Autism, Speech and Language Disability, Intellectual Disability, and Other Health Impairments). Our students are ready to thrive and succeed in all areas of development.

My Project

It is essential that children are exposed and develop early literacy skills. Being able to increase emergent literacy skills to our little learners can increase their vocabulary, letter recognition, phonics, and language skills.

Increasing literacy development can also increase their ability to learn to read.

These alphabet manipulatives will support my students to make learning fun. Practicing pre-literacy skills by using the alphabet manipulatives will support them in developing stronger skills and become confident. Early literacy skills provides students with the foundations they need in order to learn, thrive, and grow.
