This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a special education 12:1+1 early education class in the Bronx, NY. My students struggle with developing language skills, which in turn make it difficult for them to improve their reading and literacy skills.
All children are able to learn when provided with the appropriate tools.
By donating to this project, you are helping underprivileged students with learning disabilities gain access to critical literacy instruction.
Reading abilities have been found to have a critical impact on both educational achievement as well as wider life outcomes. Please help me give my students a greater shot at success!
