Early Engineers Love Flexible Seating to Boost Their Creativity!

My Students

As a STEAM specialist, I am privileged to work with each and every one of the Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade students in our elementary school. A majority of those students qualify for free or reduced lunch. They show up every day. They show up eager to learn, eager to share their passions, eager for hugs, and eager to grow!

Our school's student population is incredibly diverse.

This is one of my favorite things about this group of students. Every day, I hear multiple languages and learn about different traditions. The students love to share their personal experiences with me and with each other. We all learn from each other and grow together!

My Project

I recently had the opportunity to borrow some flexible seating options from a colleague. My students LOVE being able to choose the seating that will help them be the most successful learners. Unfortunately, it will be time to return the borrowed seating soon.

The creativity of my early engineers blossomed when they were given the opportunity to work in a way that is best for their bodies.

They are so excited to choose their seat for the day and get straight to work. Please help me continue giving my early engineers the autonomy that helps their creative minds grow!
