Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Early Childhood Special Ed. My students are a fun group with a wide variety of needs. Our school recently provided a fenced area for our early childhood students to have a safe area to play. Now, we need to fill the area with outdoor equipment for the students to play on.
My Project
This play area will provide a wonderful area for our youngest learners to develop a variety of skills. We develop conversation in the sandbox. We use problem solving skills when we climb, jump and balance. Students will engage in a variety of pretend play when given the framework of this playground. All of our students develop social skills on the playground. Children learn to wait, share, take turns and work as a team. All of the items you donate will help provide our students with valuable learning opportunities to give them a strong foundation for future success.
