Help me give my students materials they can use to prepare for Battle of the Books.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bright's classroom raised $502

My Students
Our school has been closed since March 13. Our students are relying on learning packets that are distributed every couple of weeks as well as remote learning. We are a one-to-one school with iPads, but unfortunately, a large number of our students do not have connectivity.
Our students are able to access ebooks and audiobooks through a partnership with a local public library, but that's only if they have connectivity!
Promoting reading is difficult, especially when you know many students do not have access to books and the nearest library may be closed.
My Project
Battle of the Books is a statewide program where middle school students compete against each other based on a preselected booklist that is distributed before school is out for the summer. As I mentioned above, our school library is currently closed and students are not allowed to check out books. My Battle of the Books team usually checks out books to read during the summer to prepare for the next year's competition.
If I could make these books available to my students now, they can begin to work on reading so that maybe we can do some virtual book discussions, practice sessions, and they can begin keeping their practice journals before returning to school in the fall.
The list usually has between 22-27 books on it, so being able to get them started early would be a great advantage for our team. Additionally, these are some great titles that include different genres as well as non-fiction.
