This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are outgoing, passionate, and so excited to learn each year!
My students truly love seeing growth everyday, and become more inspired to try harder and be better with every new skill learned.
They are surprised when they are successful and I work really hard to provide opportunities for them to grow in all areas at all times.
Our school is a Title I school, and we currently have 100% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. It is difficult for most of our students to provide money for materials for class, and even more difficult for us to ask them to bring money for anything extra.
My Project
Our school is a Verizon Innovative Learning School this year and, so far, we love it! We have had the ability to do additional research, find and use websites that are at the levels of each student. We have also been able to focus on new programs that are available to students at home! One thing that we don't always love is having to type on the screens of our iPads.
We want to have keyboards to use with our iPads to support our classroom learning and make typing easier.
Having earbuds will also allow us to listen to and practice our reading and vocabulary lessons throughout the day.
