This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have students from all over the world, some are from Somalia, Brazil, Mexico, Africa, and Syria. My students are very diverse and I love it! Our school is a Title 1 School. Some of my students come to school with very little supplies to offer to our classroom, but a lot of world experience. Some of our students have seen a lifetime of experience in just their 8 years of life.
These students love to learn.
They soak up information and thrive while learning new things (sometimes a new language). Our school is made up of students in Kindergarten to 3rd grade. We have over 500 students and so many different backgrounds to share!
My Project
Our classroom was lucky enough to get 6 iPads donated to our classroom. This has opened up so many learning possibilities, except it can cause the center used with iPads to distract others. If I ask them to turn it way down, then I feel like I am taking away from their learning experience.
How can we show improvement on our testing when our students don't have enough headphones and the supplemental ones are of poor quality?
Our whole school shares headphones. This has created a problem of being able to find them, and to rotate usage. If we were fortunate to have a class set, we could learn online anytime we needed to!
