This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach fifth grade (10-year-olds), and we have a diverse group of students at varying levels of academic success. Our class has a great group of students who are motivated to learn. However, we are lacking equipment needed to access technology in our classroom.

With your support, I can help students prepare for the 21st century by providing opportunities with technology that support our core curriculum.

My Project

My fifth graders are challenged with both focusing during class and completing tasks. With these fabulous headphones, my students will be able to focus on strengthening their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills as they work on their iPads during our intervention time, without being distracted by other students who are in close proximity.

As my students prepare for middle school next year, my wish is that they leave our school with very strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Your donation will help our students develop skills and build their self-esteem and fulfill my wish to send them to the adventure of middle school well prepared.
