Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students for their resilience, determination, and commitment to their futures. As a college counselor, my goal is to help them continue their education and increase access to opportunities that will support their success.
Many of my students relied on school-provided Chromebooks throughout high school, and a personal laptop will be an essential tool for completing college coursework, research, and applications.
The items in this project, including a laptop, will be used as prizes in a drawing at our Senior Decision Day event, celebrating students who have committed to post-secondary education. Other prizes will provide valuable resources that help ease their transition and support their academic journey.
My goal is to recognize and reward students for taking this important step while ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed. By offering these prizes, I hope to motivate them to stay committed to their goals and feel supported in their next chapter.
What makes my students special is their perseverance. Many have overcome significant challenges to pursue higher education, and they continue to push forward with ambition and dedication. This project is a way to celebrate their achievements and invest in their future success.
