Eagle Music Recording Studio

My students need a mobile recording system that can be utilized by all of our ensembles to continue training as the professional musicians they already are.

My Students

I teach choir at the middle school level. In our school, sixth through eighth grade students are involved in the school performing arts program. Nearly half our school is involved in the performing arts with many students performing in multiple areas. These ensembles include band, orchestra, choir, drama, and the school musical. These students are not only learning enjoyable hobbies, but also lifelong skills through the performing arts. Students learn teamwork and leadership skills through their involvement in music and drama ensembles.

My Project

Our choirs and small ensembles perform not only in our school but also at community events. Our ensembles have also been chosen to perform at multiple state conferences. With a large portion of the school in a performing art, we would like to take our programs to the next level. Having a mobile recording studio would allow us to utilize the MacBooks our district provides to create professional quality recordings.

The microphones and mixer requested in this project would allow us to create recordings that we can submit for consideration by state and national level conferences, community events, as well as state and national level honor choir auditions.

A recording studio would also allow us to create entire albums we can share with friends, family, and other professionals who want to model their program after ours.

Recording equipment would help in daily rehearsal as students can listen to and analyze our in-class rehearsal to help better ourselves.

Finally, this recording equipment would allow us to begin training students for a profession in music production through using modern technology to record and mix tracks.
