My Project
As a high school counselor, I am noticing a significant increase in student anxiety. To address this, our counseling team is aiming to create a calming space where students can regroup and return to class refreshed. This space would also be used for individual and group counseling sessions, as well as some of the items being used for classroom interventions.
Unfortunately, recent budget cuts have limited our resources.
Many of our current tools are outdated or broken, hindering our ability to provide effective support. We’re eager to create a safe and calming environment for our students. We have received donations of sensory and calming items but need the finishing touches to complete our space...such as shelving and storage to keep the space organized and easy to utilize for students.
By investing in this space, we can better support our students’ mental health and academic success.
Our high school mascot is an Eagle so having that incorporated in the title just makes it fun.
