Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The project is designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration as students work in teams to design solutions to real-world problems. Materials needed include easels, pencils, graph paper, and other supplies that will directly enhance the learning experience.
These materials will serve a critical role in students’ success.
Easels provide a platform for visual displays, allowing students to present their ideas clearly and professionally. Graph paper enables precise drawings and calculations, essential for developing scaled prototypes. Pencils and other tools foster hands-on engagement, empowering students to iterate and refine their designs during the creative process.
The goals of this project are to help students understand the engineering design process, improve their problem-solving skills, and build confidence in presenting their ideas. By working on practical challenges, students will also develop teamwork and communication skills that are critical for success in any field.
What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and curiosity. They bring diverse perspectives and boundless energy to every project. They are eager to learn and thrive in environments where they can see the tangible results of their efforts. Many of my students have expressed interest in STEM careers, and this project will provide them with a meaningful opportunity to explore their potential.
