This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our E-Sports team needs some wired controllers for their afterschool club. Our team meets almost every single day, either at home or in our E-Sports room, and competes against other schools around the country.
Our team competes in Valoriant, Rocket League, League of Legends, Rainbow, and others; this creates a sense of community within our school and we are proud of these young people's achievements in the video game environment.
Esports helps our students embrace their passion for competitive gaming. It fosters collaboration, creativity, and inclusion. My students build strengths in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication, as well as STEAM skills. They get to explore video and sound editing, graphic design, broadcasting, event planning, and more. They host Super Smash Brothers tournaments with other schools and have created a positive network of students throughout the state and the country.
Our students also participate in game design, working with GameMaker, Unreal Engine, and other software. They participated in animation competitions and have really found a family here with our E-Sports Squad.
This project is for the registration fees for the winter competition season as well as 3 more controllers. We need registration fees for up to 100 students.
