This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Preparation for the Smarter Balanced Assessments begin in Kindergarten. In small group setting, Kinder students can learn basic technology skills and practice Kinder CCSS through educational apps on IPads.
My school is a Title I school where more than 50% of the students are on free/reduced lunch.
Some of them don't have any access to technology at home. In order to prepare them for the new CCSS computerized tests, we are in desperate need of technology equipments.
My Project
With the iPads, my students will be working on educational interactive apps on IPads to practice their Reading and Math skills during Universal Access Time. My students need independent learning centers such as this where they can improve their Kinder skills while I have small group interventions with other students on specific skills.
Students will be more engaged in learning during independent work time by having IPads at their technology center.
It will be great way to incorporated technology in their every day learning at school.
