My Project

We're thrilled to share our project aimed at fostering a love for reading and critical thinking through dystopian book clubs! Your support will make a difference.

"The Giver," by Lois Lowry challenges students to think about the balance between security and personal freedom in a utopian society.

"The Shadow Children" series explores overpopulation, ethics, government control, and the value of every human life.

"Scythe," by Neal Shusterman raises ethical dilemmas about population control and the role of those tasked with ending lives.

"Parable of the Sower," by Octavia E. Butler explores environmental and social collapse, encouraging students to consider climate change and social inequality.

"Girls with Sharp Sticks," by Suzanne Young challenges gender roles and power dynamics, fostering discussions on societal pressures.

"The House of the Scorpion," by Nancy Farmer tackles cloning, identity and the consequences of scientific advancement.

"The Getaway," by Lamar Giles explores technology, surveillance, and personal freedom in a hyper-connected world.

By including these novels, we aim to promote critical thinking by encouraging students to analyze, debate, and form their own opinions.

We want to help students develop empathy and a deeper understanding of the human experience through diverse characters facing challenges.

We hope to cater to various reading preferences to ensure all students find a story that resonates.

we want to use books as catalysts for thought-provoking conversations, enhancing communication skills.

Your support will empower our students to become critical thinkers who can navigate the complexities of the world. Thank you for considering our request and supporting the education of our exceptional students.

Thank you.
