My Project

My name is Demyra Sylvester. I am a third and fourth-grade special education teacher in New Orleans. I believe reading opens the door to many opportunities in life. I also believe all kids can learn and grow with the right motivation and confidence. I am currently starting dyslexia therapy at my school. This is the first year of this program within the school. I am hoping to get basic supplies, including pens, index cards, and dry-erase markers, to start the school year smoothly and ensure kids have what they need to be successful.
