My rural elementary students are chomping at the proverbial bit to create Visual Art Projects and Platforms that demonstrate their creativity and knowledge of New England lands, consumer goods, and transportation. The students will create dynamic lego, visual art models on table displays and wall art.
Eighty students have joined our newest Lego Train Club with a visual arts, environmental science, and engineering focus.
These K - 5 students have brainstormed with our Army Corps of Engineers parent volunteer and teacher staff on how to build the art structures, land formations, agriculture, wildlife, and consumer products for our lego art platforms. The eager students need more lego and building art materials.
My Project
The students are creating visual art platforms made of legos and building art materials. The platforms will include moving parts, scenery, figures, agriculture, buildings and community scenes. We have an art, environmental science and engineering focus. The students will complete learning modules in those areas and apply their knowledge by building the art displays. We have a small amount of legos considering we have an overwhelming interest of 80 students who have joined this innovative group. We have gathered foam base boards, paint, tape, pins, brushes, glue, and many other art materials. Please help us learn about and construct our innovative designs.
