This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we wrap up an incredible year of growth, we’re planning a fun and meaningful tie-dye project to celebrate the last week of second grade. Each student will design and create their own tie-dye t-shirt as a keepsake—a wearable memory of their hard work, friendships, and everything they’ve accomplished this year.

Your support will help us purchase plain white shirts, tie-dye kits, gloves, and other supplies so that every student can take part, regardless of their family’s circumstances.

It’s a simple project with a big impact—something they’ll remember and take pride in.

Our students come from a small agricultural community and many are from hardworking families. They’ve shown resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of community throughout the school year. This project gives them the chance to express themselves through color and art while participating in a shared activity that brings our class together one last time before summer break.

Thank you for helping us end the year on a colorful, joyful note and for making a lasting memory possible for every child in our classroom.
