Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a first grade bilingual teacher who has a great group of kids. Our school is an inner-city public school in Chicago that is 95% below poverty level.

Most of the students come from low-income families and can't even afford the most minimal of school supplies. White boards are really important because they will be able to develop their writing and helps them feel special. They will be more focused because they know using the board is special.

I would like to have white boards for my students so they can have the opportunity to practice and make a difference in their writing. Not only will I be able to use it in writing but I can also use them in center and in Math.

I believe that through your generosity of the white boards and markers my students will meet and exceed in their studies. They will also realize that their are good people out there who are willing to make other people's lives better.
