My Students

My scholars are tenacious! They show up everyday, ready and willing to work hard despite the hardships they face. They come from a place where statistics indicate that they are not likely to succeed. However, they come prepared to break stereotypes, transcend norms, expectations, and yes - statistics!

My scholars are redefining themselves and taking on challenges that prove that they are capable, intelligent, creative, brilliant, and focused.

I am blessed and humbled to be the facilitator in their quest for excellence.

My Project

I have rugs in my classroom to create a cosy, homelike, welcoming atmosphere for my scholars. The rugs are purposeful and intentional because they are rugs that reinforce their learning by connecting to the themes that we are focusing on.

scholars who wish to do so, to sit on the rugs and get comfortable during instructional periods.

For this reason I need to create (as much as possible) a dust and allergen free environment. The vacuum cleaners will go a long way to helping maintain that kind of environment. As of now, my school does not own a vacuum cleaner.
