Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After school clubs are a great way to incentivize at-risk students who are usually unmotivated and lack the resources to pay for what's clubs require (uniforms and club dues for activities and snacks). These are great for students because they can interact, socialize, and enjoy a relaxing time to prepare for the next school day.
My students require incentives to move on sometimes and participating in contests and learning with interactive and fun activities gets them to learn.
Those who are more intrinsically motivated, also make learning gains because they have to teach their classmates to help their teams win.
Having these incentives will help me start them out with energy at the beginning of the school year.
