Durable Headphones For 4th Graders

My Students

I teach a group of awesome fourth-graders of all different academic levels and abilities. I have students that are very high achieving and others that are struggling on a daily basis. I also have several students with learning disabilities that prevent them from understanding content in the traditional way.

My students crave diverse educational experiences that allow them to have a better understanding of how the world works.

They are eager to learn and try new things.

My goal as an educator is to provide opportunities for all of my students to learn and grow.

My Project

My students use headphones on a daily basis. Whether it be practicing their spelling words or listening to audiobooks, students are always in need of headphones to complete activities and assignments. Students are required to bring in headphones at the beginning of the year as part of their school supplies. However, many of the students cannot afford to buy quality headphones that will last for the duration of the year.

Because so many pairs of headphones have broken, students must take turns using the few pairs that the school provides.

I have purchased several pairs on my own, but I am looking for a more permanent solution so my students always have what they need.
