My Students
My students are amazing! Each new year and throughout, they inspire me and continue to help me realize why I joined the teaching profession!
With the added trials and obstacles posed by COVID-19, something that will continue to affect the world as a whole for a long while, my primary focus is, and always will be, to provide my students with a warm and welcoming classroom environment.
To look at my students and the ways in which they continue to show up every day in the face of extremely huge mental and emotional obstacles is inspiring, to say the least.
My Project
With the arrival of the epic movie, "Dune: Part 1", I have quite a few of my students talking about it and I would love to be able to off them the chance to explore the novels.
The literary source material for many of my students' favorite movies is a wonderful chance to offer them opportunities for reading that directly taps into their interests; these "Dune" novels and graphic novels will allow my students to fully immerse themselves within a wonderful world!
As an English Language Arts class, books are the air that we breathe and it would be wonderful to add the "Dune" series to our classroom bookshelves!
