My Project

Over the years I have worked with hundreds of seven- and eight-year-olds to build their writing skills. My electric pencil sharpener has been there with me, guiding the students through their writing by making sure they have nice and sharp pencils.

Well, time dulls the blades of this wonderful sharpener, and its time she retires.

It's taking more effort for her to sharpen pencils and my students' writing is starting to be affected. Students do not want to write as much these days because pencils are never sharp enough. I am also starting to go through too many pencils because the sharpener isn't doing her job like she used to anymore.

I know it may not seem like a big deal, but a good pencil sharpener makes all the difference in a classroom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
