Help me give my students one of the complementary texts for our Spanish, Unit 2, along with two texts that supplement the unit.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There is nothing better than reading straight from the book! During our Spanish Paired Literacy class in Unit 2, my 3rd graders will be learning about real events that reflect how people have overcome adversity.
To make it more engaging, I have selected the last of the 4 books that my students must read, and would like to have them do so as they flip pages from the books, instead of black and white photocopies.
With this text, they will also be working on describing character traits, and I would love them to be able to do so from the award winning illustrations.
On top of learning about overcoming adversity, my 3rd graders will be making language connections between English and Spanish as they practice literacy skills.
