DSLR Camera for School's First Official Yearbook Committee

My Project

Our school is a humble charter school located in the quaint town of Winnsboro, South Carolina. Though small in number, our students exude a tremendous amount of passion and talent, so we try to give them as much opportunity as we can to learn and lead, not only through classroom lessons and activities but also through involvement in school-sanctioned clubs and committees; one of these is the Yearbook Committee. Although already established, the committee is yet to be fully established. For the next school year, we are planning to turn it into a year-round functioning active committee, starting with taking charge of documenting official school programs and events, alongside random moments which make school memorable and fun for students.

The camera will be more than just a tool to take pictures; it will give our students the opportunity to be more involved as they develop their sense of responsibility.

When I opened up this project to the current members of the committee, their faces lit up with excitement. Having its own officially camera will give the committee its own identity. I also firmly believe that the fulfillment of this project will only be the start of the many great milestones that the school's Yearbook Committee will achieve and document.
