My Students

My kindergarten students are from a small rural school in south-central Indiana. A lot of them have ridden in a tractor before they even step into kindergarten! They are excited to be at school and eager to learn! They are kinesthetic and visual learners who show excitement with each new concept or skill they learn! With each new letter or sound we learn, they thirst for even more knowledge. They bring an enormous amount of energy and love into our classroom.

My Project

My kindergarten students absolutely love creating works of art! However, we currently lack a safe place for these to dry. We lay our creations on any open spot we can. When we open our door, our artwork takes flight, usually straight to the floor. With these drying racks, we could ensure that our drying creations have a safe space to lay, without the fear of them blowing to the floor! Thanks to the generous donations of other Donors Choose members, we will get to start this semester with a plethora of paints and construction paper! These drying racks would allow us to use those items even more!
